This privacy policy covers the usage of the site http://m.heysan.com and all content and services that are provided from this site including related documentation and information on the Heysan domain. It also includes how personal information such as user name, email address or phone number that is collected while usage is collected stored and treated by Heysan.

Collection and treatment of Information

When you register with Heysan using one of your existing IM accounts (AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo or Google Talk) your login information will be stored with a strong blowfish encryption on our servers
Heysan will automatically record information received from our server logs that we collect from your browser, including page requests you do, cookies and IP addresses
The information will be used for the following purposes: identification and authorization, improvement of service, reporting and research

IP Addresses

An IP address is, in simple terms, an address for a computer connected to a network. The IP address has the form of a unique number that is used to identify a device connected to a network and enable communication over the Internet Protocol (IP). As soon as you use your Internet browser to view a web page, the IP addresses are automatically reported. Heysan will store those IP addresses for the following reasons:

To locate potential technical problems with the service that could be associated with a specific web company or ISP controlling the IP addresses
Provide a better user experience as well as ability to provide customers with a better designed platform for advertising based on the location information retrievable from the IP addresses
For statistical purposes, specify what geographical areas a total number of users, that are visiting the site, come from

Cookies

A cookie is a small amount of text data, including a unique identifier that is sent by a server to a web browser and back to the server. The cookie is also stored on your computers hard drive. Heysan recommend you to set your Internet browser to accept all cookies (default setting in most browsers and mobile phones) since you otherwise won't be able to use the Heysan features that requires you to sign in to the service. The purposes for Heysan to use its own cookies are the following:

Available users to get auto logged in when returning to site
Access your stored Heysan information when signing in to the service
Research purposes including improving the service
Keep track and estimate traffic size, peaks and limitations
Provide a better experience with advertisement based on your actions using the Heysan services.

Heysan will allow other companies that Heysan has an agreement with to show advertisement on certain of our pages, access and set their cookies on your handset. This Heysan privacy policy only covers those that Heysan has an agreement with and does not cover other advertisers or entities use of their cookies and neither will Heysan give them access to our cookies.

Web Beacons

For research reasons, Heysan may use Web Beacons. A web beacon is a little clear GIF used in combination with cookies and that is pasted on to a website or in an email enabling tracking a user's behavior. No personal information will be collected with Web Beacons.

Information Sharing

When signing in to heysan! using an existing IM account (MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo or Google Talk), the system will register a Jabber ID for you. This Jabber ID will be the same as your username for the service you used to sign in to heysan! with the first time (MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo or Google Talk) and will be displayed to the public.

If you choose to post your personal information to the public using the Heysan services, you may receive unwanted messages from parties and since this is outside Heysan's control, we are not taking any responsibility for the consequences of this.

Under special circumstances, Heysan may be forced to disclosure personal information for identification. These situations could be legal processes or court orders to establish or exercise our own legal rights and also to defend legal claims.

In case of illegal activities including, without limitation, threats towards a person safety, fraud, violations against the Heysan terms and conditions, it may be necessary to share personal information with the legal authorities. Personal information may also be transferred in case Heysan is acquired or merged by a different company and Heysan will inform you by either email or through the website in case this situation would appear and your information would be subject to a different privacy policy. Even though personal data will not be shared with any partners, we might share statistical data with them that might include your anonymous information (ex. 58% or all Heysan users has registered a zip code).

Even though your personal information will never be shared, Heysan will use it to provide more personalized advertising, based on what information you have registered. Your personal information will be stored and handled in the US and the UK and may therefore be subject to the laws of these jurisdictions.

Security

Your personal information will be available to trusted employees of Heysan when we consider it necessary for them to have it in order to perform their job. Your information will however always be password protected.
