How do I use MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and GTalk with Heysan?
Signing up to use your MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and GTalk through Heysan is easy. Just open your mobile browser and enter URL: m.heysan.com
What is Heysan and how does it work?
Heysan! brings MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and GTalk to your phone, for free! What this really means is that we don't charge you anything for using the service. However, your cell phone carrier might charge you for Internet usage, check with your carrier for details.
I don't use MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo or GTalk, can I still use Heysan?
You cannot use Heysan unless you have an account with one or more of the providers we support.
How do I add a contact?
To add a contact, click the "Add contact" link in the bottom of your buddylist page. Enter your friends username and select add! If you are adding a friend on MSN, don't forget to include the whole email (ex: missmary@hotmail.com)
My added friend doesn't show up!
If you friend doesn't show up after adding, the following two options might be causing that; either your friend is offline, your friend rejected your invitation or you entered an incorrect username for your friend.
My friend is in France, can I still add him?
There is no difference between for example http://fr.yahoo.com and http://yahoo.com in terms of adding a friend, just make sure to enter the correct username.
How do I start a chat with a friend?
From your contact list, click the contact you want to start a chat with.
Can I keep more than one conversation running at the same time?
Yes you can! After starting chatting with a friend, just go back to the contact list and start a new chat with another friend. If you receive a message in another conversation than the one you are currently in, a link will show up on your screen that you can click to read that message.
How do I add contacts to my account?
If you want to add a contact to one of your networks (example: add a new MSN contact to your MSN contact list) you can not do that through Heysan. You have to use native MSN and add your friend from there. As soon as you have added a friend though, he or she will show up in your buddylist the next time you sign in to Heysan.
Can I use more than one account at the same time using Heysan?
Yes, you can connect all your accounts (MSN, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and GTalk) and see them all at the same time.
Heysan is very slow for me, can I do something about that?
Yes, you can choose to not display images, which makes pages load much faster. Go to settings and choose "Images off"
I get logged out automatically when using heysan!
If you leave heysan! running for more than 10 minutes without touching it, your session will expire and you will have to log in again.
I have AIM running on my desktop, can I use it in heysan at the same time?
Yes, you can use heysan at the same time. On some networks you get logged out from the first location, on others you stay logged in but messages only reaches you at heysan.
